1. About the School Lotto Fundraiser

The School Lotto Fundraiser is a simple online fundraising draw that helps your chosen school raise money for school resources, activities, wellbeing projects, facilities and other school priorities. By taking part, you support the school community while being entered into weekly draws with a chance to win prizes.

2. Who is responsible for the lotto?

  • The school, PTA or relevant school fundraising body shown on the lotto page is the Promoter and organiser of the School Lotto Fundraiser.
  • The Promoter and organiser is responsible for holding the relevant local council lottery registration/licence in Northern Ireland and for ensuring the fundraiser is operated in line with that registration.
  • Skoolfunder provides the online platform, payment tools, draw tools, reporting tools, support services and prize fulfilment support.
  • The school/promoter must have an active connected Stripe account before the School Lotto Fundraiser can go live. Supporter payments are processed through Stripe, and the school's share is allocated directly to its connected Stripe account as those payments are processed.
  • The Promoter remains responsible for the conduct of the fundraiser, the approval of draws and the approval of winners. Where Skoolfunder helps fulfil prizes, it does so on behalf of the Promoter and in accordance with the Promoter’s authority, these terms and the published prize rules.

3. Who can take part?

  • You must be aged 18 or over at the time you enter.
  • You must provide accurate registration, contact and payment information.
  • You must not take part if doing so would break any law that applies to you.
  • The Provider may refuse, suspend or cancel an account or entry if there is a payment, fraud, misuse, age, eligibility or compliance concern.

4. How support and play payments work

  • Entry is by online subscription through the Skoolfunder platform.
  • The standard entry is £10 every 4 weeks.
  • This gives you 1 line per week for 4 weekly draws.
  • You may be able to buy additional lines if that option is available on the Platform.
  • Your subscription renews automatically every 4 weeks unless you cancel it.
  • If you cancel, no further subscription payments will be taken, but entries already paid for may remain active for the draws already covered by that payment.

5. Payments and failed payments

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe, the platform's payment processor.
  • The Provider does not store your full card details.
  • If a payment fails, your entries may be paused or cancelled until payment is received.
  • The Provider may retry a failed payment where permitted.
  • If payment cannot be collected, your support and play subscription may be cancelled.
  • Payments are generally non-refundable once entries have been included in a draw or scheduled for draws already covered by that payment, unless the Provider decides otherwise or a refund is required by law.

6. The school's fundraising share

  • The school's funds are allocated directly to the school/promoter's connected Stripe account at the point each supporter payment is processed through Stripe.
  • Skoolfunder does not hold the school's funds separately.
  • Allocation of the school's funds is subject to Stripe processing, settlement timing, Stripe fees, chargebacks, refunds, reversals, failed payments and the terms of the school's own agreement with Stripe.
  • The school/promoter is responsible for keeping its connected Stripe account in good standing, including completing any Stripe verification, identity, tax or compliance requirements. If the connected Stripe account becomes disconnected, restricted or unable to receive funds, the School Lotto Fundraiser may be paused until it is restored.
  • Reporting on entries, sales and the school's share is made available through the Skoolfunder platform.

7. How the draw works

  • For each line, you choose 4 numbers from 30.
  • Each week, 4 winning numbers are selected using the draw tools available through the Skoolfunder platform. The Promoter is responsible for authorising or approving the draw process.
  • The draw day, draw time and cut-off time will be shown on the school lotto page.
  • Entries received after the cut-off time may be entered into the next available draw.
  • If your line matches all 4 winning numbers, you win or share the £2,000 jackpot.
  • If more than one eligible line matches all 4 winning numbers, the £2,000 jackpot is shared equally between those winning lines.
  • The jackpot resets to £2,000 for the following weekly draw.

8. Weekly £20 Lucky Dip prepaid card prize

  • Each weekly draw has a guaranteed £20 Lucky Dip winner.
  • The Lucky Dip winner is selected at random from eligible entries for that draw.
  • The £20 Lucky Dip prize is fulfilled as a digital prepaid card by email through CleverCards or another nominated fulfilment provider.
  • If you win, you may need to confirm your email address or other details so the prepaid card can be issued.
  • The prepaid card may be subject to the fulfilment provider's own terms, expiry periods, redemption rules and restrictions.
  • If a prepaid card is not received or cannot be redeemed, you should contact the Provider as soon as possible so the issue can be reviewed.

9. Bonus cash and other prizes

  • Additional bonus cash prizes and/or other prizes may be made available during the year.
  • Bonus prizes are not guaranteed every week and may depend on the rules or prize details shown on the school lotto page or otherwise communicated through the Platform.
  • Where bonus prizes are available, winners will be selected from eligible entries in accordance with the published prize details.

10. Winner checks, contact and prize payment

  • Winners will be identified through the draw process in accordance with the published rules and may be subject to checks before a prize is paid or fulfilled.
  • The Promoter remains responsible for the conduct of the School Lotto Fundraiser and authorises Skoolfunder to support winner identification, winner contact, verification and prize fulfilment on its behalf.
  • Skoolfunder and/or the Promoter may require proof of age, identity, eligibility and payment details before a prize is paid or fulfilled.
  • Jackpot, Lucky Dip and bonus prizes may be paid or fulfilled by Skoolfunder or its nominated fulfilment provider on behalf of the Promoter and in accordance with the published rules.
  • Lucky Dip prepaid card prizes will be fulfilled by email through CleverCards or another nominated fulfilment provider.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted, cannot verify eligibility or cannot receive payment/fulfilment, the Provider may deal with the prize in accordance with the published rules, legal requirements and reasonable operational procedures.

11. Winner publicity

  • Winner names may be published on the school lotto page, in draw results and in school fundraising updates.
  • The Provider and/or the school may use reasonable winner information, such as name and general location, to announce winners and promote the success of the school fundraiser.
  • The Provider will not publish unnecessary personal information.
  • If you have a reasonable privacy concern, please contact the Provider.

  • The Promoter, with support from Skoolfunder where required, may correct obvious errors, technical errors, payment errors or result publication errors.
  • The Provider and or the Promoter (notifying the Provider), may delay a draw, re-run a draw, void affected entries or issue refunds where it reasonably considers this necessary and fair.
  • The Provider and or the Promoter (notifying the Provider), may change draw times, cut-off times, prize details or operational arrangements where needed, and will use reasonable efforts to publish or communicate changes.

15. Suspension, cancellation or closure

  • The Provider or Promoter and organiser may suspend, cancel or close a School Lotto Fundraiser if required by law, by the local council registration/licence, due to technical issues, payment issues, fraud/misuse concerns or because the fundraiser becomes unviable.
  • The Provider will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes or closure arrangements.
  • If the School Lotto Fundraiser closes, paid entries, outstanding prizes and final communications will be dealt with fairly and reasonably, subject to law and licence requirements.

16. Responsible participation

The School Lotto Fundraiser is designed as a school fundraiser. Please take part only for fun and to support the school. Do not spend more than you can afford. If you or someone you know is concerned about gambling, support is available from organisations such as GambleAware, GamCare or other appropriate support services.

17. Limitation of liability

  • The Promoter and Skoolfunder are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate details supplied by you, failed payments, internet or device problems, email delivery issues, third-party service issues or events outside their reasonable control.
  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
  • Subject to the above, the liability of the Promoter and Skoolfunder to you will be limited to the amount you paid for the relevant entry or subscription period giving rise to the claim, unless a higher amount is required by law.

18. Complaints and contact

  • If you have a question about your entry, payment, prize, prepaid card, account or data, contact the Provider at: support@skoolfunder.com.
