Skoolfunder Members

Your Lotto Fundraiser toolkit.

A simple, staged plan to launch and run your school Lotto Fundraiser — with all the artwork, wording and countdown assets ready to share.

The plan is simple

Skoolfunder supplies. The school shares.

You should never have to write launch messaging from scratch. Skoolfunder supplies the artwork, QR code, school lotto link, parent wording and countdown visuals. Your job is to share them consistently through the school's normal channels — and to keep the fundraiser visible during launch and after the first draw.

The one rule: every communication should include either the QR code, the school lotto link, or both.

The single most important action

Create your Lotto Launch Team

Before anything else, put together a small launch team of 3–6 people. This is the single biggest driver of a successful school lotto — reach, ideas and accountability that no one person can carry alone.

Aim for a mix of:

  • Principal or Deputy Principal
  • PTA / PA chair or rep
  • A governor or board member
  • A teacher fundraising lead
  • A parent volunteer with community reach
  • A local business or community contact

Everything else in this toolkit — the artwork, the messages, the countdown — only works if there's a small team behind it, sharing consistently.

1

Get Ready

Before launch starts

Set up your launch team, approve your school lotto page and confirm what you're printing.

  • Create a launch team of 3–6 people (staff, PTA/PA, governors, a parent volunteer)
  • Approve the school lotto page — name, crest, prize details, QR code and first draw date
  • Agree what the school prints in-house and what goes to a local printer
2

Launch

Launch week — first two weeks of visibility

Go public. Posters up, e-leaflet out, WhatsApp shared, QR everywhere — and first-draw spot prizes lined up.

  • Place A4 posters on local noticeboards and A3 posters around the school
  • Send the e-leaflet through school app, email and newsletter
  • Share the WhatsApp message with parent, class and PTA groups
  • Source first-draw spot prizes from local businesses
  • Add a homepage button on the school website
3

Routine

Countdown, first draw and the weekly rhythm

Ramp up with the big-format prints and countdown visuals, land the first draw well, and settle into a weekly rhythm that keeps the fundraiser visible.

  • A0 gate poster, pull-up banner and DL leaflets from your local printer
  • Share 2-week, 1-week, 2-day and draw-night countdown visuals
  • Send a day-after thank-you and celebrate weekly winners
  • Use big school days — musicals, sports day, open nights
  • Keep the lotto and QR in every monthly newsletter
